Le gala aura lieu le 6 avril prochain à la Ericsson Globe Arena de Stockholm, l'opposition entre le suédois, [b]Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson[/b] et le hollandais, [b]Gegard Mousasi[/b] sera en tête d'affiche de ce second UFC scandinave. La première fois que l'organisation américaine est venue en Suède, les tickets ont tous été vendus en trois heures, pour [b]Garry Cook[/b], directeur général de l'UFC en Europe, "la suède est un marché incroyable" et " Alexander Gustafsson est une grosse star en Suède et il a gagné en popularité à travers le monde grâce à son succès au sein de l'Octogone. Le suédois de 26 ans qui reste sur une série de 6 victoires, dont 4 avant la limite, la dernière face à Shogun, frappe à la porte d'un combat pour le titre, une chance qu'il pourrait obtenir avec une victoire contre Mousasi. Âgé de 27, Mousasi, ancien champion des mi-lourd du désormais défunt [i]Strikeforce[/i], est invaincu depuis 2010, sa dernière victoire remonte à la semaine dernière face à Mike Kyle, une victoire par soumission au premier round. Ce combat contre Gustafsson marquera les débuts du hollandais à l'UFC, lui qui avait depuis longtemps exprimé son souhait de rejoindre l'organisation afin de combattre pour la ceinture. On aura sûrement droit à une belle bataille debout entre deux excellents strikers, un combat serré dont le gagnant sera très bien placé pour contester la ceinture détenue par Jon Jones.
